Pollock Community Foundation
Pollock School alumni, businesses, residents of the Pollock area and friends of the Pollock community have made positive things happen in an around Pollock. The Pollock Community Foundation (PCF) was created in 1999 to provide financial support to charitable and nonprofit purposes in the Pollock community at the recommendation of a local board of directors. The Board of Director's accepted a challenge to raise $50,000.00 for a grant from the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) of $12,500.00 and one from Pollock resident Sherman Parrott for $12,500.00. The challenge was completed in 2002. Today generous supporters have contributed over $230,589.00. The fund is invested by the SDCF and each year 4.5% of the total amount is available to distribute to the Pollock community As the fund grows so does our ability to make an impact locally. Up to the present, the interest from your contributions has enabled the PCF to reinvest and commit to the growth and development of this community
A Permanent Endowment Fund Giving Tree administered by the Board of Directors and located in the Visitor/Interpretive Center recognizes contributors at the five award donation levels: $100.00-Bronze one star Award, $500.00-Silver two star Award, $1000.00-Gold three star Award, $5,000.00-Piatinum four star Award and $10,000.00-Excalibur five star Award. A name plate with the donor(s) and level of giving is placed on a leaf on the Giving Tree and the level of giving is designated with a star or stars.
There isn't anyone who visits or lives in the area that doesn't experience some impact the PCF has had on this community because of you our friends near and far Donations can be a memorial or in honor of, stocks, trust, etc.

The Pollock Community Foundation is in partnership with the South Dakota Community Foundation. The South Dakota Community Foundation distributed more than $13.5 million in grants in 2017 (including our Pollock grants) which made a tremendous difference in communities statewide. This is possible only because of generosity of our donors.
